RESONANCE – Online Companion Exhibition

Crescent Hill Gallery’s annual spring exhibition showcases new work by their gallery artists, demonstrating the brilliance of our local art community.

Curatorial Statement

With a foundational interest in placing great Canadian artwork in private and corporate collections, both locally and internationally, resonance is an active and integral part of our ethos. This rings true in every one of our interactions. We work closely with collectors to ensure that the pieces they acquire resonate with their vision, space, and the critical people in their lives. This effort to cultivate meaning and connection for our clients increases the awareness of our artists’ practices, allows for a better understanding of the artistic process and messaging behind works, and integrates a sense of belonging and collaboration between the artist, the collector, and the viewer.

We build lasting relationships with our artists and collectors to foster growth in our business and the broader Canadian art industry. This approach to advocating for artists and their artwork flows across different media, styles, and subject matter. It spans emerging, mid-career, and established artistic practices. The actual impact of art comes from its ability to evoke powerful and meaningful emotion. Art activates an individual’s core memories by simply interacting with it. It provides continuous opportunities for us to communicate with and experience the moments that characterize our humanity.

With this new spring collection of original works, we hope to spark the imagination of our collectors and offer them the opportunity to support Canadian artists and small businesses.
