ABOUT GUZMAN AYMARA Guzman Emilio Huanca Yanariko (Aymara) was born May 21, 1960 in Jacantaya – Moho, Peru to Mariano Huanca and Juana Yanariko He attended the “Carlos Baca Flor” School of Fine Arts in Arequipa from 1980 to 1991 and became a member of the Asociacion de Artistas Plasticos “Luces del SUR” in 2003. He has participated in numerous juried shows in Europe and South America and beginning in 1989, accumulated a seemingly endless list of honours and distinctions. Aymara has also gained recognition participating in many Solo and Group Exhibitions. His technique for displaying the sunlight dappling the South American scenes he paints is what attracts innumerable art lovers. One can almost feel the sun bursting through the Spanish moss to warm the courtyard below. [ BACK TO TOP ]
