Biography: Joan Armour

Painting for more than 25 years, Joan has studied at the Dundas Valley School of Art, and the North Hills Art Center in Pennsylvania. Her works have been exhibited throughout North America in galleries, publications, private and corporate collections. She has also been an active member of various Artists’ Societies and Groups.

Joan paints daily ‘en plein air’ and in all seasons. She enjoys taking her brushes, acrylic paints and easel outside in order to capture nature’s beauty while working in the natural light.  These paintings begin as sketches and are later transformed into larger works.

At this time Joan has a small studio located in the Oak Ridges Moraine, in Ontario. Her current scenes are based on the terrain in the Blue Mountains, Grey Highlands and Oak Ridges Moraine areas of Ontario.
