Forever Flowers by Maya Eventov

Maya’s works evoke feelings of happiness, well-being and joy of life. She wants to share with you the warmth of the afternoon sun and the heat of the sidewalk, the smell of exotic flowers and the taste of ripe fruit. She wants you to wander the roads of Tuscany with her or enjoy a quiet moment in an overstuffed armchair in a romantic setting somewhere in Spain.
A beautiful day with Mark Berens
Just in! A stunning new painting by Mark Berens! The surface quality of his landscapes is thick, creamy, and rich in the palette of nature’s liveliness. Berens is particularly noted for his ability to capture depth and light through textured dabs of a well-calculated colour palette. Upon viewing a Berens Oil, it is almost as if one could reach out and pick up one of his fallen leaves. Through closer inspection, the quality of the paint reveals itself in a somewhat abstract manner, creating a unique bilateral dynamic for viewing.
Into the Wilds with Steve Tracy
We have two lovely new landscape paintings by Steve Tracy today! These pieces are just stunning and must be seen in person. Currently, Steve lives in London Ontario where he has donated his time to a recent public art endeavor in the downtown core. “I have great interest in London and want to see it thrive” he says, “I want to help the London core to be brilliant and revived – with glorious retail, thriving businesses and healthy lifestyles.” Steve was also commissioned to paint one of the 12 violins for Orchestra London’s “Painted Violins: Strung out on the Arts” soirée at the Museum of London.
Sunny Flowers for Sunny Weather by Jordan Hicks
Just in time for this absolutely lovely day, we have some stunning new paintings by Jordan Hicks!
“I believe in our natural world and it is the foundation for most of my work. I believe in original art and I am dedicated to producing work that has a personality, work that is real.” -Jordan Hicks
A little French-Canadian Style for a breezy Saturday
We have some lovely new paintings by Marie-Claude Boucher! Marie-Claude maintains a palette of primary and pure colours. She has developed her distinct style with the use of spontaneous and confident brush strokes: “I am not looking for perfection in the details, but rather simplicity in my settings.” It is in the countryside where she finds her inspiration, often interpreted through welcoming red-roofed houses and characteristic clotheslines. The liveliness in her painting style allows us to appreciate her personal zest for the act of painting, and her colourful approach bears her inimitable signature.

An Urban Affair
To describe the theme of Peter Panov’s paintings, you must enter the door into his vast and incredible imagination. He depicts Paris around the 1920s, and elaborately decorates and expands on the idea of “Man and his City”. His characters are recognizable, familiar and yet convey the essence of individual memory and history. Panov’s images are alive with narratives detailing of endless fantasy, joy, musical tales and intriguing places.
Into the woods we go!
Continuing with our great new additions of Maya Eventov’s work, we have another series to show you today! These are more from her Birch series, with a couple of stunning mediterranean scenes adding to the lovely scenery.
In the Garden with Emilija Pasagic
Flowers are starting to bloom everywhere, including right here at Crescent Hill Gallery! We have some lovely new paintings by Emilja Pasagic in the gallery today, so be sure to come by and check them out!
Depending on her mood and what is available in her studio Emilija can incorporate as many as a half dozen elements into each painting. Her technique involves a unique blending of bee’s wax and oil paint applied to paper, board or canvas. In this contemporary application of the ancient technique of encaustic, the paint is sometimes blended into the hot wax, burnt into it or simply painted upon it. She often fuses paper and cloth into the pigments to create textures, and uses gold leaf and various gel mediums to add unique antique effects. The paintings take on depth and mystery with a balanced tension between texture and form.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Today we’re celebrating Cinco do Mayo with a new painting by a recent addition to Crescent Hill Gallery: Adrian deRooy! Have an awesome day everyone!

Julia Klimova’s paintings combine the changing particularities of our modern experiences with the expressions of eternal values, beauty, aspirations and humanity, which she hopes will lift the spirits and delight the eyes of those seeing them for many years to come.
